Episode 2: The Mysterious Guardians of Starry Hill

Furnando began his ascent up the Hill of Stars. As he climbed, the sky above grew darker and more brilliant at the same time—stars appeared closer than ever, their glow dancing across every rocky ledge. Strange constellations seemed to trace paths along the ground, as if guiding him onward.

Halfway up, Furnando encountered a band of ethereal creatures called the Forest Shadows—wisp-like beings, partially translucent, tasked with defending the approach to the summit. They refused him passage because they had never heard his song and therefore doubted his intentions. After all, how could they trust a singer who had no voice?

Furnando tried to explain that he had lost his voice and desperately needed the Starry Harp. Yet words alone could not convince them. Suddenly, Poleno, a small, greenish dragon he had befriended earlier on the trail, emerged. With a gentle breath of glowing flame, Poleno created shimmering images in the air—visions of Furnando helping forest creatures, singing with birds, and sharing his joy. The Forest Shadows watched in fascination.

Initially unconvinced, the Shadows relented when they witnessed Furnando’s genuine kindness. However, they posed one final challenge: he must pass through the Path of Illusions, a mystical passage where travelers confront their deepest fears. Only by facing these illusions could he prove his worthiness.

Stepping onto the Path of Illusions, Furnando was confronted by haunting visions of a silent future—one where he never regained his voice and the forest fell into perpetual hush. Overwhelmed, he recalled the love he felt for music and the desire to help his friends. That unwavering devotion shattered the illusions. The Forest Shadows, satisfied, bowed respectfully and cleared the way.

Far off, at the very summit, Furnando glimpsed the silhouette of a crumbling hall. His heart pounded with anticipation, sensing that the Starry Harp was near. Though exhausted, he pressed on, ready to claim the instrument that might restore his voice.
