Episode 5: Lyria’s Secret
In the wake of the triumphant concert, Furnando noticed that Lyria—usually serene and wise—seemed oddly pensive. Her golden eyes, typically filled with warmth, now held a hint of worry.
When Furnando approached, Lyria confessed a long-kept secret: she had once been the Guardian of the Star Paths, an ancient duty that involved guiding starlight to protect the forest from evil. However, much of her power was lost when a malevolent force attacked ages ago. Now that the Starry Harp was reawakened, she feared this dark power might return.
Though taken aback, Furnando vowed to help. Lyria revealed the existence of a Crystal Candelabra, a mystical artifact capable of shielding the forest from impending doom. It lay hidden deep within the Stone Labyrinths beneath the Hill of Stars. Despite having just left that region, Furnando agreed to venture back, accompanied by Poleno and the ever-courageous Satis.
Navigating the Stone Labyrinths, they encountered shifting walls, cryptic puzzles, and forgotten traps. Finally, they found the Crystal Candelabra encased in a thick layer of ice. Poleno attempted to melt it with his fiery breath, but risked cracking the artifact. With gentle notes from Furnando’s Harp and Satis humming encouragement, Poleno managed to thaw the ice carefully.
The Crystal Candelabra glowed with a comforting light, sending waves of warmth through them all. They knew this artifact would help ward off the dark force, at least for a while. Relieved, they returned to Lyria, eager to secure the forest’s safety.
Though Lyria thanked them, Furnando could see a lingering concern in her eyes. They had won a reprieve, but she suspected a greater threat loomed on the horizon. For now, however, peace was restored, and Furnando continued to sing and celebrate with his friends.
