Episode 8: The Final Song of the Stars
The grand finale was at hand. Furnando dreamed of a strange summons, as though the stars themselves were calling him to the Summit of the Celestial Temple, a fabled place beyond the clouds where sky and earth converge. He believed this temple might hold the key to vanquishing Noctaris forever.
At dawn, Lyria confirmed the temple’s existence but warned that the journey would be daunting. Poleno and Satis insisted on joining him. They would have to ascend the Sky Stairs, pass through a waterfall of clouds, and finally confront the Gates of the Dawn Stars.
The climb tested their resolve—fierce winds, icy ledges, and vigilant guardians awaited them. Yet each step was fueled by their commitment to protect the Forest of Wonders. Meanwhile, Noctaris gathered his remaining strength below, preparing one last assault.
Reaching the summit, Furnando and his friends discovered the Celestial Lyre, a sister instrument to the Starry Harp. The moment they touched it, a surge of starlight flooded the temple. Noctaris rose from the swirling mist below, determined to finish what he had started. Furnando played the Harp, Poleno and Satis combined their powers, and the Celestial Lyre sent beams of pure light into the heart of darkness. Together, they created the Final Song of the Stars, a melody so potent that Noctaris shrieked in defeat and dissolved into shadows, scattered by the wind.
With Noctaris vanquished, the temple blazed in renewed glory. The Harp and Lyre sang in harmony, their notes echoing across the entire Forest of Wonders. Creatures far below felt a rush of relief and joy as the oppressive darkness lifted.
Descending the mountain, Furnando and his companions knew they had fulfilled their greatest quest. The Forest of Wonders remained safe, its night sky shining brighter than ever before.
